What Happens When You Call
We start with the basics: which rooms, roughly how many square feet, and what is down now. Carpet over a concrete slab, glue-down vinyl and tile set in mortar each come up differently, and that tear-out step changes how long a job takes. If you are leaning toward hardwood flooring or luxury vinyl plank, we will also ask about furniture, appliances and any stairs in the work area.
Next we set an arrival window for a visit to measure and check the subfloor. A slab that is out of flat or reads high for moisture adds prep time, so your timeline is built from what we actually find. If something shifts on our end, like a delayed material delivery or a job that ran long, we call you before your window, not after it.
What to Have Ready Before You Call
- A rough room list and square footage, even from a builder floor plan or a quick tape measurement.
- What is on the floor now and what you want instead, with a product name or photo if you have one in mind.
- Dates you need to work around, such as a move-in, a trip or family coming to stay.
- Any known problems, like soft spots, cracked tile or a past leak near the kitchen or a bathroom.
