About Flooring Katy: A Flooring Crew That Plans Around Your Week
From hardwood and luxury vinyl plank to tile, laminate and carpet, we put new floors into Katy homes with the schedule treated as part of the work. You get a realistic start date, a set arrival window for each day and a call from us when something changes, before you have to ask.

Why We Run Jobs by the Calendar
A new floor touches every other plan in your home. Furniture has to move, a room goes out of use, and if you work from home or have a move-in date, a slipped day costs you more than time. So we build the schedule from the steps the floor actually needs, not from the earliest date that sounds good on the phone.
Those steps have real lead times. Hardwood and laminate sit in your home to acclimate before installation, because wood fibers take on or release moisture until they match the room. Tile needs thinset to cure before grout, and grout to set before anyone walks on it. A concrete slab gets a moisture reading before a floating floor goes down, since vapor rising through the slab can cup planks and break down adhesive. We tell you how long each of those takes on your job and put it on the calendar up front.
When a plan has to change, you hear it from us first. A backordered carton, a dip in the subfloor that shows once the old carpet comes up, a soft spot around a toilet flange: we call, explain what we found, what it adds to the timeline and what it adds to the cost, then wait for your go-ahead before moving on.
How a Job Runs With Us
- 01
Arrival windows, not all-day waits
Each work day has a stated arrival window. If traffic or a material pickup pushes us past it, we call before the window closes, not after.
- 02
A sequence you can see
Before day one you know the order: removal, subfloor prep, underlayment or moisture barrier, installation, then transitions and trim. That tells you which rooms are off-limits and the day you get each one back.
- 03
Covered, and careful in your home
We are insured for the work we do in your home. We lay protection over finished areas and haul off the old flooring, tack strip and scrap when we leave.
- 04
A year of workmanship coverage
Our work carries a 1-year workmanship warranty on all installations. Should a transition strip lift, grout crack or a plank seam separate because of how we put it down, phone us and we book a return visit at a time that suits you.
Where We Install
We work in homes throughout Katy and nearby communities, including Cinco Ranch, Fulshear, Brookshire, Mission Bend, Pecan Grove, Four Corners, Weston Lakes, Rosenberg, Richmond and Jersey Village. Most homes around here sit on concrete slabs, so moisture testing and flattening the slab are routine first steps for us. We group jobs by area when we can, which keeps drive time out of your arrival window. Our Service Areas page has more detail.
